Romans 12:10

Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. - Romans 12:10

This may be hard to hear; we need to cut down on the selfies! We live in a world that is very focused on the self. Not others. Jesus taught the opposite. 

Don’t get me wrong; there is a place in life for taking care of ourselves. We have to at times. But we’ve taken it to a whole new level. 

Scripture tells us to honor others above ourselves. There is a deeply wounded world that needs love. If we’re so focused on ourselves, we’ll never see it. As a follower of Jesus, we’re commanded to reach the hurting with care and love. That they may know the healing love of Christ. We are to be the hands and feet of Jesus!
